LOCAL ATTRACTIONS

As the saying goes, St. Augustine is 24 miles of beach-the rest is history.  Not only does St. Augustine have beautiful beaches, but it is also home to many beautiful and interesting attractions for visitors.  From the lighthouse to World Golf Village to the city itself with it's elegant Spanish-style buildings, one could easily spend days just walking around.  St. Augustine is the official Nation's Oldest city and features places like the Oldest Schoolhouse which are coated in American history.

ALLIGATOR FARM
The St. Augustine Alligator Farm is more than just an attraction, it is also a historic site. It had the honor of being listed in the National Register of Historic Places.  They also work in conjunction with the University of Florida on studying animals such as birds, snakes, and, of course, alligators! WORLD GOLF VILLAGE
The World Golf Village is not only home to two beautiful golf courses (The King and The Bear and The Slammer and The Squire) but it also holds the World Golf Hall of Fame, an I-MAX movie theater, an official PGA Tourstop shop, a putt-putt course, and the Caddyshack restaurant owned by actor Bill Murray and his brothers. RIPLEY'S BELIEVE IT OR NOT!
St. Augustine is home to one of the famous Ripley's Believe It Or Not museums.  Some of the items featured in St. Augustine include a gigantic Ferris Wheel, made by Meccano, Inc. and the world's largest moving erector model containing 19,507 pieces standing 21.3' tall. You can also come and see Beauregard, a Six legged cow, he lived 14 years with two extra legs growing from his back! Ripley's is open daily 9 am to 10 pm, 365 days a year! ST. GEORGE STREET AND HISTORIC DOWNTOWN

MARINELAND
Located approximately twenty miles south of the city on A1A, Marineland is the Nation's oldest oceanarium, home to Marineland is home to the two oldest dolphins in captivity, Lillie Champagne and Nellie. Not only can you see daily shows at Marineland, but you can also swim with the dolphins! Marineland is also home to the University of Florida's Whitney Lab where they study marine animals.
